Advancing Science and Policy (ASAP) Roundtable

This meeting will start with few announcements since it is the start of a new year and the second half will be a round table discussion.

We will be discussing the recent events of British scientists gaining permission to genetically modify human embryos.  This certainly is a controversial issue and the implications are staggering so hopefully we can have a great discussion.

Here is a link to the New York Times article on this topic.

And a link to the seminar given by Jennifer Doudna on the genetic engineering technology CRISPR.

How to get involved in ASAP:

Check out the new ASAP website and Facebook group for continually updating science policy news and opportunities! Or, join the ASAP-BEST mailing list to get less frequent email summaries of our postings.

Finally, remember that we want to hear from you. If you have an opportunity to share, a suggestion for the club, or are interested in starting a working group for an op-ed or whitepaper, reach out!
