BEST Careers in Science Policy panel discussion

Do you have an interest in science policy? Are you potentially interested in a career related to science policy? If so, come explore how science policy shapes our society, what the big issues are, and how each of us can or should participate in the discourse. The panelists will also highlight career options related to science policy. Please share the flyer with your colleagues!

  • Ann Maglia, Program Director for Advances in Biological Informatics in the Division of Biological Infrastructure at NSF (joining via Skype)

  • Don Hartill, Professor of Physics at Cornell and Mayor of Lansing, NY

  • Joe Regenstein, Professor of Food Science and Director of Cornell Kosher and Halal Food Initiative

  • Peter Davies, Plant Biology Section. Peter spent a year as a science advisor in the Department of State and also trained with the AAAS Science Policy Fellows.

Alex Coots is the moderator. He is a graduate student in Nutritional Sciences and a member of the BEST Advisory Board.
