The Power of Young Innovators Moderated by the Cornell BEST Program
How does university research get transformed into commercial products? Since the passage of the Bayh-Dole Act, which encouraged the transfer of technology from university to industry, New York has seen impacts on the broader local economy, industry-university relations, the formation of new companies and growth of industry clusters. This panel discussion will examine this process through examples from early ideas, early and later stage companies, highlighting the important contribution of graduate students and postdocs in this continuum.
