Science Policy Talk

Cornell BEST Program and ASAP (Advancing Science And Policy) invite you to listen first-hand to the career path story of Cornell Physics PhD alumna Kris Poduska.

Currently Dr. Poduska is the Director of Science Policy for the Canadian Association of Physicists and physics professor at Memorial University in Newfoundland.

Dr. Poduska will talk with BESTies about what it's like to do science policy in Canada while balancing her career as a professor. She does a great job of providing encouraging, positive messaging as well as giving concrete advice--and she had no background in science policy before starting the position, so she has an interesting story.

See you in Mann 100 on Dec. 7 at 2pm!

How to get involved in ASAP:

Check out the new ASAP website and Facebook group for continually updating science policy news and opportunities! Or, join the ASAP-BEST mailing list to get less frequent email summaries of our postings.

Finally, remember that we want to hear from you. If you have an opportunity to share, a suggestion for the club, or are interested in starting a working group for an op-ed or whitepaper, reach out!
